i'm sure anyone who reads this post is propably going to ask themselves why i'm posting this specific message about Rahm Emanuel. I couldn't be anymore excited but for a new mayor, new beginnings for the city i love. and who else would be more experienced for this job than him. A former representative of chicago and a former white house chief of staff.
it's obvious that no person would leave a job of such prestiege without being confidant of the new beginnings ahead. So.. bust out your Rahm bumper stickers and buttons... because it's that time for the young to once again prevail in another election.
(i sound like a fucking....... advertiser hahaha ).
AND make sure to vote democrat this year's midterm election. the last thing we need is those filthy republican's running Illinois.

what a day.
sometimes i wish people knew how hard it took me to get where i am now.
i've learned that even though i acted like i was 100% confidant about what i was doing, i was certainly not. and i can't believe how incredibly stupid i was.
today in my philosophy class that is filled with sophomores and 2 seniors, i gave a mini lecture on the difference between knowing and thinking "thyself".. apparently i now sound like i've been on this planet for more than twenty years. a kid asked me what i meant and how i was so certain. all i could reply back is that "you kind of just know, which is ironic in a way."
i wake up every morning forcing myself because i figure the earlier i get up, the sooner i'll be back in this same bed dreading to wake up or a lovely little thing called paranoia.
i worry about too many things and i'm way too alert. last night, my neighbor turned on her AC and i was flipping out because i thought it was going to explode.
down the street someone's car alarm was going off.... something fell downstairs..... my dad's snoring which sounds like a hovercraft.... the dog downstairs...... the water dripping... the creek in the backyard...... the highway... the train tracks....
outside my window, people are constantly moving.

"dunder mifflin, the people person paper company"
I hope all are doing well and i am not boring you with nothing that i have written.
its so hard to keep up with this blog but i promised myself i would even though i think people don't read it. but who knows? sometimes people need something ambiguous and snarky to read while waiting for a train or for a coffee or waiting for something.... or in many cases, looking like they're being productive.
depaul.... what can i say? it feels like i sold my soul to them when i started literally a week ago. tomorrow, its going to be two weeks that i've been a history/political science major. i have a gut feeling that i made the right decision about changing over. sometimes you need to do something for the good everyone not just yourself.
I think everyone at a time in their life don't know what theyre doing with their lives so they just resort to nothing. but in a way, even though i honestly don't know what i'm doing most of the time, at least i'm doing something.
i think my place is chicago and im just meant to travel. who knows.. i might end up with a cute british boy haha.

Getting excited.
Sorry for the minimal posting on here. So i promised that i'd be posting a Remember Me mini review and trust me, I'm working on it!
New obsessions...... lets see. I'm in love with Jakob Dylan and Jeff Buckley right now.
There's always something new for me to love.

&
Sometimes i wonder what if i ventured in the world of film....
I love movies, not mainstream but usually the ones that end up winning awards or independent films. Twilight saga is as mainstream as i get. Who knows maybe later on i'll venture into screenwriting.
Who said i cant get my degree in history/political science &&& do screenwriting and fashion at the same time?

movies, movies.
Two films I'm so excited to see. They're both independent movies so chances are i'll be driving to Lincoln Park to see them..
One of them is called The Exploding Girl, it was a favorite at the Berlin Film Festival.
The next one is... When You're a stranger. from what i researched so far about this one, it's kind of like a mini biopic of Jim Morrison and The Doors.. but im not too sure. But it looks amazing.

Marchesa, Marchesa, you never cease to amaze me...
In the aftermath of NY Fashion Week, we begin with London Fashion Week... I'm super excited to see Burberry's new collection. I wish I could go to London Fashion Week.. why can't we just kick out Kristen Stewart & replace her with me..? I think i deserve to be in the first row, its rather garish to see her face.
Even though I LOVED Marchesa's collection, these three stuck out to me the most.

i've been watching documentaries all day about world war II and nazi germany on history channel, I have no idea why. It's interesting, they were so sinister they disgust me... I can't wait to finally study history finally but I think I might have nightmares once I look more into this.
Well i hope you all have a lovely rest of your tuesday.. i'm slowly but surely still hanging in there after my craptastic luck.

NY Fashion Week 2010 Pt.1
Even though I've decided to venture into studying history, I'm still a chipper girl when it comes to fashion week. Lets begin with some of the best....
Badgley Mischka

Marc by Marc Jacobs

These three collections absolutely blew me away that I couldn't even begin to just pick a couple pictures.... but head over to style.com to view them or google them!
They are.....
Mulberry: as always i am absolutely, infinitely stunned and amazing and in awe when it comes to their collections. I'm a HUGE fan of Mulberry they never disappoint me!
Narciso Rodriquez: I am in love with him. He knows the definition of tailoring and design to me. In my mind, he's the Jil Sander of the US. I would drop any job to work with him.
Rodarte: love, love, it is love.
Even though I posted some of Badgley Mischka, I am in love with their whole collection this season.
Tomorrow, hopefully style.com posts pictures from my all time favorite, Marchesa, that I read supposedly showed today. I am utterly in love with them. When I get married to Robert Pattinson or Jared Followill hahaha, I'll be wearing Marchesa.

William M. Buttlicker

I thought this picture would be appropriate for the time since I can't stop watching the office. It's from one of my favorite episodes from season 5. i think i've found a new favorite episode... the recent one that just came on last night.. I think it was called managers and salesmen. It's the return of the sarcastic, blunt Jim Halpert that I oh so love. bring on the dwight pranks!

"And my mother says Rebecca is as stubborn as they come
They both call to me with words I never knew
There's a bug inside the thimble, there's a band-aid on her thumb
And a pony in the river turning blue
They say, "Time may give you more than your poor bones could ever take"
My Rebecca says she never wants a boy
To be barefoot on the driveway as they wave and ride away
Then to run inside and curse the open door
I once gave to my Rebecca a belated promise ring
And she sold it to the waitress on a train
I may find her by the phone but with a fashion magazine
She may kiss me when her girlfriends leave again
They say, "Time may give you more than your poor bones could ever take"
I think I could never love another girl
To be free atop a tree stump and to look the other way
While she shines my mother's imitation pearl"
I'm in LOVE with Iron & Wine. He defiantly has a way with words. I love how in a way, all his songs, have like a hidden storyline to them. Like little stories. Another of my favorite songs is "Love Vigilantes" which is a new version from New Order. Music is something so strong and beautiful. its poetry to my ears.
Here I sit with a cup of coffee with Tyra Banks blabbing in the background.

"sweet champagne and a complicated lifestyle.."
Sometimes when I wake up in the morning or in most occasions mid afternoon, I always think to myself that today is another day, another day in a month, year. I don't know if i'm lacking the motivation to start something new or just come to terms that i'm a newbie to this whole "i'm a fuck up" life. i defiantly feel a sort of accomplished though but not entirely.

my current obsession besides robert pattinson, Arctic Monkeys. I love Alex Turner.
i was thinking that maybe i'm feeling this way just because for the first time in my life i honestly don't know where to go next or where to turn next. kind of like when you know different routes to a certain place.
i was a certain kid in high school. certainty was me. i had it written all over me.
i wonder what happened.
i'm the biggest bitch i know. i guess i just don't care if people like me or not anymore because pleasing is not in my vocabulary anymore.
why does vintage shopping sound like such a plan right now?

"everything you do is super duper cute and I can't stand"
I know I'm horrible at blogging. But then again what am i not bad at? haha.
So everything has changed in the past..... month i say. I hold about a 10% love for fashion and another 90% love of I don't know. I left LA behind with nothing but bittersweet memories of being free. Oh sweet freedom i miss it.. I can't say that i've been in a happy place lately. For some reason I feel that every time I try to make something work or try to adjust to something, it always fails.
Whether is trying to re-get with a boy that I've had a crush on since I first started working at the library to the day I said I had enough in LA to cave in, everything hasn't been beautiful gardens and pretty rainbows. But for some reason, I have that gut feeling that coming back home was one of the best decisions I made (and let me tell you I haven't made many good choices in my life yet...).
I'm taking my gut feeling which i should've followed since I graduated from high school and that's to go to DePaul University in Lincoln Park, for what you may ask? Right now, it looks like history/political science but who knows later on it might be for something else.. i honestly don't know what I'm doing anymore. I feel very guilty though and alone. and useless. I haven't felt this way in a while.
I just feels like I lost everything because I made an effort to move somewhere new & follow a so called "dream"....
but if there's one thing that has remained constant is that to my nieces and nephews... I'll still be some kind of person to look up to that is all mighty and powerful. I wish I could proof them wrong and show them that i'm not flawless and i'm not all that i'm caught up to be.
one thing that hasn't changed is that i'm a sucker for music (my itunes grows more and more each week/day) and books. I've been reading the Vampire Academy series lately and I'm finished with the 4th book as of today. too bad the 5th doesn't come out till April or May.
But I hope Dimitri becomes a Dhampri again and Rose & him can live happily ever after with Lissa and Christian... I'm not sure about Adrian though... I envision him as a Moroi Chuck Bass haha. But in some weird way I can see Rose as a Strigoi with Dimitri.. I don't know I'm just ranting! hahaha.
Some other books I've purchased::: Marked from the Cast Series (Im curious about this one), Evermore another series, and water for elephants.
As you can tell I love me some vampires & forbidden love. haha. my mom has been saying that I should start some kind of book/music blog where I review albums and books that I buy because that's where all my paychecks go to now a days when I use to spend money like crazy at urban or american apparel.
well.. i promise to post more this week. I feel bad for my readers that want something more than to look at past memories.
it'll defiantly take awhile to get back to my usual self...
